Transcript of the Story

One time Jesus sent his disciples out to cross the lake while he stayed behind to pray. Later on, in the middle of the night, Jesus saw that they were having a hard time rowing and trying to get back to shore because of the raging wind and waves, so he went out to them walking on top of the water. When they first saw him, they thought it was a ghost and they screamed but Jesus said, “Don’t be afraid. It’s me.”

Peter called out in response, “If it’s you, tell me to come out to you on the water.” And Jesus said, “Come on.” Well, Peter got out of the boat and he walked towards Jesus on top of the water. But then Peter saw how strong the wind was and he became afraid. He started to sink and cried out to Jesus, “Please save me.” So Jesus reached out and took a hold of him and asked him, “Your faith is so little, why do you doubt?” Then they went back to the boat together and got in. The disciples were amazed and they worshiped him. Saying, “Truly you are the son of God.”
